Description
We are seeking a full-time Facility Cleaning Technician to maintain cleanliness across our facility. This position is Monday–Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Occasional Saturday work may be required. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in custodial work.
- Clean and restock restrooms, break areas, conference rooms, and other common areas.
- Empty trash and waste containers; transport waste to proper disposal areas.
- Wipe down surfaces including sinks, doors, counters, and partitions.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout the building.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Coordinate with other members of the Facilities team to resolve maintenance issues.
- Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
- Perform additional Facilities duties as assigned.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
- 1+ years of experience in custodial work.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with other departments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Regular and predictable attendance with the ability to work some overtime and/or weekends.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift (up to 50 lbs).
- Positive demeanor and outlook.
- A creative mind with a desire to suggest improvements and new ideas.
