Facility Cleaning Technician

Description

We are seeking a full-time Facility Cleaning Technician to maintain cleanliness across our facility. This position is Monday–Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Occasional Saturday work may be required. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in custodial work. 

• Clean and restock restrooms, break areas, conference rooms, and other common areas. 
• Empty trash and waste containers; transport waste to proper disposal areas. 
• Wipe down surfaces including sinks, doors, counters, and partitions. 
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. 
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout the building. 
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment. 
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. 
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. 
• Coordinate with other members of the Facilities team to resolve maintenance issues. 
• Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. 
• Perform additional Facilities duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
• 1+ years of experience in custodial work. 
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with other departments. 
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
• Regular and predictable attendance with the ability to work some overtime and/or weekends.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift (up to 50 lbs).
• Positive demeanor and outlook. 
• A creative mind with a desire to suggest improvements and new ideas.
